Minorai Kalon

Day 1.

On our first day of practice, we went to the Minorai Kalon historical monument. We studied the information with the group members and our mentor. Our group members are introduced us some information about Minorai Kalon. 



Minaret Minorai Kalon in Bukhara 606Once after the conquest of Bukhara, Genghis Khan entered the main square of the city, he saw a grandiose minaret in the middle of the square. He looked up at the minaret and a helmet fell from his head. “I never bowed to anyone. But this building is so grandiose that it deserves a bow.” Thus, a unique monument and the main symbol of Bukhara, the Kalon minaret, was preserved.

The minaret is part of the beautiful ensemble Poi-Kalon, located in the historical center of Bukhara. The minaret was built in 1127 by the ruler of the Karakhanid state Arslankhan.



The minaret is an architectural masterpiece. Its 14 ornamental bands, all different, include the first use of the glazed blue tiles that were to saturate Central Asia under the Timurids. Up and down the southern and eastern sides are faintly lighter patches, marking the restoration of damage caused by Soviet general Frunze’s artillery in 1920. Its 105 inner stairs, accessible from the Kalon Mosque, have been closed off to tourists for several years but may reopen.

  Today our fourth practice day. 23.05.2024 The Boboyi Poradoz Mausoleum (Uzbek: Boboyi Poradoʻz maqbarasi) is a monument of architecture in Bukhara, Uzbekistan.  Hello everyone. Today our third practice day. We went to Pridastgir mosque. I want to give information about mosque. Hazrat Shaykh Sayyid Muhyiddin Abdul Qadir Jilani was born in the year 1079 AD (471 AH) in the village of Bashir in the Jilan province of Iran and passed away in 1166 AD (562 AH) in the city of Baghdad, Iraq. Jilani initially received his education from Abu Zakariya Tabrizi. At the age of sixteen, he went to Baghdad, where he studied the sciences of theology and hadith under prominent scholars such as Abu Bakr ibn Muhammad, Abul Qasim ibn Ahmad ibn Bayan, and Abu Talib ibn Yusuf.
