Image
Day 15.             Assalomu alaykum everyone 😍 ❤️  Today was our last day of practice. The weather was very nice and pleasant. We went to Abdullah khan timi (indoor market) today. Our trip was very good. And I bought myself a coat from the indoor market. Farangiz, a member of our group, gave us information about the indoor market. Trade was the most common profession in the East since ancient times. Caravans carrying trade goods sold, bartered and bought goods along the Great Silk Road. One of the trade centers on the caravan route was the city of Bukhara. The city is famous not only for its architectural masterpieces, but also for its artisans, markets and shops. One such bazaar is Abdullah Khan Timi, built in the 16th century in the historical center of Bukhara. The bazaar was built on the side of the Bukhara ruler Iskandar Khan and was named in honor of his son Abdullah Khan, but it was also called the trading dome. The word "Tim" means a pla...

Today's weather is very beautiful and pleasant 🪐🌞 Opposite Ulugbek Madrasah there is Abdullazizkhan Madrasah. Abdullazizkhan built it in 1651 – 1652 and it is the last large Madrasah in Bukhara. The building is typical by composition, with four-ayvans yard, but with unordinary divergent fan of hudj groups after side ayvans and cupola buildings on the central axis. It is very interesting the improvement of living lodgings, which consisted of entrance hall and hudjra, and were equipped with free-places, attic storeys, wall niches for bed clothes, dishes, decorated in conformity with the taste of inhabitants, who rented these apartments during their study.Away from Poi-Kalyan ensemble we can see trade arcades, belonging to the end of 16 century Taki-Telpak Phurushon and Taki Sarraphon.  Day 13.             Assalomu alaykum everyone 😍 ❤️  Today our next practice day. We went to Ulug'bek madrasah. Today's weather is very well and sunny 🌞 ☀️ 😎 😊  Ulugbek (also spelled Ulugh Beg, Ulughbeg, Ulugh-Beg), Tamerlane’s grandson, was an enlightened and intellectual ruler. He was very much concerned with development of science in his large kingdom. Besides the well-known madrasah in the Registan Square in Samarkand and the madrasah in Gijduvan (Uzbek: G'ijduvon; also spelled Gizhduvan), he ordered that one be built in conservative and strict Bukhara, the Islamic capital of Central Asia, in the hope the city would become a center of science and education as well. Ulugbek Madrasah in Bukhara was for a long time followed as an example by builders of Islamic schools in other Central Asian cities. Ulugbek Madrasah was found in 1417, as the inscription on the bronze plate of door runs says. There is a name of master in the portal tympanu...

The madrasah building, as well as khanaka nearby, were named after vizier Nadir by whose order they were constructed. Vizier Nadir served at a court yard of one the strongest and powerful representatives of Ashtarkhanid dynasty Imamkuli-khan, who ruled in Bukhara in 1611-1642.  Day 10.                 Assalomu alaykum everyone 😍  On our tenth day of practice, we went to the Mohi xossa historical monument. We studied the information with the group members and our mentor. Our group member is Samiya introduced us some information about Mohi xossa. Located at a distance of 4 km from Bukhara to the north, Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa Palace was the countryside residence of Bukhara emirs just a short time ago. In comparison with the rest of Bukhara, the climate in the palace is different: it is never hot there on even the hottest days. Such effect was reached thanks to the ancient method of locating the sites for important buildings. They put sheep carcasses at the likely construction sites and opted for the one whose carcass had least decomposed. The foundations of the palace were laid by order of Akhad-Khan late in the 19th c, but the construction of the main part of it was completed during the reign of the next khan, Muz...
